$15 - includes film screening + 1 (one) Urban South beverage
This must be the place: we’re bringing back our no-chairs, all-dancing screening of Jonathan Demme’s seminal 1984 concert documentary, Stop Making Sense . This electric film captures the brilliance of the Talking Heads, taking you into the audience at one of their inimitable shows. Sing along with David Byrne, prance like Tina Weymouth, and toast the late (and immeasurably great) Bernie Worrell at the Urban South Brewery. Bring your friends, bring your kids, bring you best Big Suit.
Admission includes the film screening and one Urban South beverage (fresh squeezed lemonade is the delicious non-boozy option), as well as bike valet provided by Bike Easy and dancing to one of the best bands of all-time. Yes, we stand by that.
Doors open at 7:00 PM, with the film starting at 9:00 PM. Food from STUFTstream food truck will be available, and drinks served by the rad folks at Urban South. Advance ticket sales have ended, but we will have tickets available at the door the night of the event. Want to keep the party going? Head over to DJ Soul Sister’s legendary HUSTLE at Hi-Ho Lounge after the screening. Her weekly set of underground disco, rare groove, old school funk, boogie, and true school hip hop will keeping you grooving into the wee hours.
This screening is generously supported by Urban South Brewery , NOVAC , Bike Law , Defend New Orleans and Bike Easy .
Does anybody have any questions??
