With a long history of bicultural celebration and cooperation, the towns of Eagle Pass, Texas and Piedras Negras, Mexico share a deep connection to one other separated only by the Rio Grande. When violence creeps closer to both towns, the balance is upended by growing American antipathy against Mexico. This mesmerizing verite-style documentary follows Chad Foster, the enigmatic mayor of Eagle Pass, and Martin Wall, a fifth-generation cattle rancher (and endearing father to Brylyn Wall), as they navigate the precarious situation threatening their livelihoods.
